Nike Announces Release Date For "Air Max 2 Uptempo"
Before I get to the part where I confirm when the shoe is going to be in stores, let's review some of the history behind this masterpiece. The original Nike Air Max Uptempo is a basketball shoe that came out in 1994 and is considered by many diehards one of the best ever made. It's iconic white/black/royal-blue color way was nicknamed "Duke" due to fact that the shoe was popular amongst college players at the time. This shoe was also the first in the Nike franchise to use Air Max2 technology which had advanced shock absorption. Needless to say, when the Uptempo came out in 94' it was wayyyys ahead of its time, making it one of the greats. However, it is now 2017 and the "Duke" is making a comeback. Nike is releasing the new "Air Max 2 Uptempo" in the same dapper color way from 94' as other color ways on July 1, 2017. The returning classic is selling for $140, not a bad bet if you ask me. For all the hype beasts and diehard basketball players/fans, or even collectors. This is a must.
