2 Chainz, The Migos, "Pretty Boy" Russel Westbrook, "Introits" and Halftime extravaganzas by Meek Mill and J Cole, - All Star Weekend 2019 in Charlotte, NC was JAM packed with everything the All Star spotlight always hoists!!... Only this year, it was younger, a gear faster and a solid representation of all the thoroughbred like NBA talent that ferociously lurks under both the East and West coasts!
Friday night was a banger as all the sharp shooters brought their A game for the 3 point contest! While Joe Harris, Kemba Walker, Khris Middleton, Seth Currry, Damien Lillard, Buddy Hield, Danny Green, Dirk Nowitzki, Steph Curry and Devin Booker all started the fight, only Joe Harris, Buddy Hield, Booker and Curry could bolster the heat with Joe Harris rising through the flames to take home the early Friday night hardware!!
As the Slam Dunk contest opened up, Hamidou Diallo proved to do have done all of his homework as his picture perfect sky shoulder work over Shaquille Oneal put all the fans in a tizzy!!.. Round for round his innovation, energy and focus was just too much for his competitors as he ended up king of the hill over Dennis Smith Jr., Miles Bridges and John Collins!!
In the main spotlight, there were so many stars out on the court that it was a frenzy to watch. A few sexy lobs by both camps, plenty of hot sauce by Durant, Antetokounmpo, Lebron and Kyrie, the general tempo was expected and the vibe was just right! At Halftime, J Cole blazed the show and in the end Team Lebron just wanted it more with a 178/164 win over Team Giannis!!!
